It’s time, I think

February 4, 2009

Hi, guys.

I’ve decided to retire K’vitsh.

My reasoning:

  • too many people know about it (not that it’s a popular blog), so I don’t feel I can write freely on here anymore
  • I’m going through a tough time right now and want a place where, again, I can write freely
  • due to feeling unhappy, I crave change and fresh starts, and this is a free, easy way to do that
  • I’m too busy to write here regularly
  • I don’t want to pay for the domain anymore

I’m going to keep posting to Tumblr, so check that out. (There’s Twitter, too, but those go right to the Tumblr account, so you can just check the Tumblr).

I hope people understand this decision.

For me, it’s not a big deal. But this really wasn’t working for me anymore.

God, this entry is depressing. I don’t mean it to be.

Maybe I’ll come back to this one day, using the free wordpress version.

Blah

January 21, 2009

I had a horrible week last week. Nothing serious, just stupid work stuff. This week is better, but I’m still busy w/ part of the reason for the suckage of last week.

The show is really getting popular. It kind of freaks me out. I mean, it’s awesome, but means more work. Which shouldn’t be a problem, but work (like, my job) already sucks the marrow from my very bones.

I bought a url w/ my full name in it. Someone else w/ that name wants to buy it. How much should I charge?

I want a url where I can put my photography, band, show, etc. Any suggestions?

Anyhoo, check my Tumblr/Twitter accounts, as I can update those via my Crackberry.

But I will try to post here more regular-like.

New Year’s resolutions/2009 to do list

  • remain willing to make a fool of myself for love, ’cause it’s bound to pay off eventually*
  • keep growing my  hair
  • type more letters on my typewriter
  • see about getting my photos in a show or something
  • take voice lessons
  • do some more performing

Cancer update

December 9, 2008

Just came from an appointment w/ my surgeon. Whom I adore.

Whatever little nodule is in my neck is about five millimeters big and is hidden amongst scar tissue.

Therefore, he and I both think there’s no point operating right now, when the chances are good he may not even find it and will have to cut me again in a year when it’s bigger anyway.

He said there’s a 5-10% chance my voice could get damaged next time there’s surgery, so, even though it’s a brief reprieve (maybe), I’m glad we’re not doing it now.

My cancer or whatever is indolent. He said if I were 80 years old, he’d be more inclined to operate, but as I’m young(ish), there’s no huge worry.

Phew.

P.S. – I’m also very glad I’ve started to perform. If I someday get cut again and my voice gets fucked up, I would be extra sad if I’d never even tried to sing publicly, you know?

Remember my song, September?

Here’s the article that inspired the idea.

Taurus Horoscope for week of December 4, 2008

Verticle Oracle card Taurus (April 20-May 20)
In the Broadway play “Passing Strange,” the narrator praises the healing power of mysterious songs, saying: “You know when the music goes right over your head, bypasses your mind, and strengthens the part of you that’s most beautiful?” That’s the kind of nourishment I encourage you to seek out in the coming week, Taurus. You need soul-toning experiences that elude your rational understanding — encounters with wise animals, waking dreams, unpredictable love, exotic music, and twilight whispers that blissfully boggle your imagination.
